This is Kiana (key-anna) our resident "Arctic Wolf"
The name, Kiana, comes from a small fishing village, of the same name, on the western coast of Alaska, just North of the Arctic circle.
"Kiana" is, 75% Arctic Wolf and 25% Siberian Husky. She is a very gentle and loving animal,with us since Geri is the alpha female and I the alpha male, of her pack. However, with strangers she becomes very shy and allusive. She will, sometimes, become very threatening an even aggressive if she feels threatened by a stranger and is not a particularly good watch dog in that, she does not bark. Her feet are webbed and her chest is a very deep "V" shape, both, for aiding navigation in deep snow
